Stat Variance
Section titled “Stat Variance”Two items of the same type and rarity can have different stats — each item rolls a stat variance on generation. The spread widens with rarity, while the mean is preserved, so a well-rolled lower-rarity item can rival an average higher-rarity one. This is why grinding for better rolls is meaningful.
